On Sunday 2nd October, I travelled to Leicester to photograph Moseley Women's Rugby Football Club take on Stoneygate Ladies. The teams, who play in the National Championship Midlands 2 league, battled it out against each other in what proved to be a very exciting game which sadly, ended in stalemate with both teams finishing on 17 points.
When I was took these photo's, I was trying to see if I could capture the essence of the game & the emotions of the players involved. I am very interested in sports photography both the technical & the create side of this medium. When I take the images, I am aspiring to be like such established & famous photographers as Bob Martin. I felt like I achieved my own objectives for this shoot & was quite pleased with the images I've taken. I'd like to continue improving on my technical abilities with the camera itself as well as being able to develop the creative side of my photography & strive to take pictures that show my subject in a different way.
